If you're thinking about going, make a reservation! We didn't plan ahead but we were able to sit at the bar to enjoy a cocktail/Mocktail and at least see the view outside. The bar area was small, but very quaint! We ordered a Berrisace Collins (one with alcohol and one without) and it was delicious!!! Their food menu looked absolutely amazing and I wish we would've made dinner reservations. This is on my list for the next time we visit! Such an iconic and amazing place to see!

Would give 4.5 stars if I could. Had a great time sitting on the patio at Trattoria Gianni on a Saturday evening. Was able to get a table last minute without a reservation which I really appreciated and loved to see. If you live in Chicago you know this is tough. Food and drinks were really excellent. Loved my espresso martini- one of the best I’ve had in Chicago. The branzino was amazing and our waiter told us they get it fresh daily. Ricotta gnocchi was also delicious. Definitely a great spot in Lincoln Park! You don’t have to go to the trendiest and newest restaurants to get excellent food!!

Excellent night out for a date and to celebrate ourselves. The food was great and atmosphere was lovely. Would definitely return to have another greatnight out.

The food was excellent - gnocchi was delicious, the ravioli was outstanding. Only took a star off because things started off a little rocky. We we got seated awkwardly right in the main aisle way from the kitchen, were given a tiny piece of bread and no oil, then sort of ignored for a moment. Once we got past that, the remainder of the meal went great.

Delicious food and excellent service. This is one of my most favorite restaurants. We dined inside this time. The outdoor patio is always an excellent choice, boo.

It was perfect. The service was amazing and even made something off menu. The pasta was perfectly cooked and reasonably priced! Will make this a staple date night place!

The service was very attentive even as the place filled up. The food was good. I'd try something else next time. My friend's entree looked much better than mine. The beet salad was excellent.

I want the chef to travel to Italy and taste the national cuisine. Italian dish names do not automatically mean that they are similar to Italian cuisine. Service is excellent
