The guys behind Michelin-starred Dusek's and Longman & Eagle bring their magic touch to the South Side. The Promontory is their contribution to the Hyde Park neighborhood, and it's located in the center of the area's action at 53rd Street.
The bustling establishment is located on two levels, with live music on the top floor and the restaurant on the first. That's where diners may enjoy dishes that have been cooked on the open hearth. That's where they're sizzling up roasted Brussels sprouts, smoked feta and roasted squash, but also fish, steaks and chops.
Brunch is especially popular at The Promontory. Guests may choose from heartier options like brioche French toast and lamb hash or sandwiches such as a double beef burger or house-cured pastrami. The fried chicken thigh sandwich gets the most love, especially when topped with a fried egg.
