The Delta - Chicago
Paying homage to the distinct Southern region of the Mississippi Delta, this contemporary Bucktown/Wicker Park eatery features the culture, food and music of the area.
The Delta strongly positions itself as a restaurant focusing on the regional cuisine and you won't find typical "Southern" and "soul food" on the menu. It, in fact, embraces many cultures that have influenced food in the area, including African Americans, Chinese, Italians, Mexicans and Native Americans. The owners and chef have painstakingly researched the region to create a menu that re-interprets tamales, rice dishes, pastas and more.
Much of the furniture, design elements, photographs, silverware, plate ware and more have been sourced throughout the South. The Delta's soundtrack is very important to its image. Get ready for a potpourri of music, including blues, gospel, R&B and hip-hop.
