Smoke Daddy - Chicago

Live music, slow-cooked, smoked meats and craft beers are just a few of the reasons why this BBQ joint has been a popular attraction in the Wicker Park neighborhood for more than 15 years.

To keep the venue fresh, Smoke Daddy owners recently renovated it, expanding it so that twice as more guests can enjoy. They've also installed a number of new ovens, including a giant J&R Manufacturing Custom Wood Fire Rotisserie, which is on display to diners through a central kitchen viewing window.

Went for dinner a little later on the evening. I was honestly very disappointed. Ribs came out very tough as if cooked at the start of the day and had sat in a warmer for hours. The sides were fine, but came just short of the flavor someone would expect from a BBQ spot. I've had much better, but I've also had worse haha
