San Soo Gab San - Chicago

I've been coming to this place more often than I can remember. I love the food. Wang kal bi, kal bi tang, bulgogi, and bibimbap. Those are the most common food we order. I might have spelled it wrong, but sounds close enough. Previously we asked them to cook the food in the kitchen. This time the kitchen was busy so we had to grill meat ourselves. It was an experience. I love the service and servers. I love the place.

We had literally so much food. Came at an earlier time so not too many people. The plates took over the entire table- I don't even know how we finished everything. Food was authentically delicious and staff were nice

used to come here a lot as a kid, came back for the first time in several years last night. was really impressed by the flavorful marinated meat (I ordered chicken) and the quality and responsiveness of the service. in addition to meat, for about $25, got a large variety of banchan, plus rice, plus tofu soup. so it's not cheap, but the value definitely isn't bad.

Great place for Korean food that you can cook yourself on real charcoals. Fun for everybody! Great yeast good speedy yet describe service.

Portions are very generous and the food is decent, though not anywhere close the best Korean BBQ in Chicago. Prices were okay. Ambience and environment in the restaurant is not good. More importantly, the staff was rude and unhelpful. I think this is a good place for regulars to the cuisine, but not friendly at all for those unfamiliar with what to order. More stressful than enjoyable.
