The barbecue and pork trends continue at this Avondale spot opened in summer 2010 by the folks behind the erstwhile Tizi Melloul. Pork Shoppe proudly sources all of its meat from Illinois farms. An electric smoker turns out pulled pork, chicken, baby back ribs, brisket and flank steak as well as out-of-the-ordinary items like pork belly pastrami. Sides, which include mac 'n' cheese, sweet and spicy cornbread and burnt-end baked beans, are served a la carte. Closed Mondays.
