Paulie Gee's Logan Square - Chicago
The Logan Square location for Paulie Gee's is one of four outposts for the small chain; it's also in Baltimore, Md.; Columbus, Ohio; and Brooklyn.
Pizzas at Paulie Gee's are baked in a traditional Neapolitan-style oven, but that's where conventional ends. The more than 30 choices are offbeat with unique and fun ingredients. There is also a "secret" menu with even more pizza options as well as ample vegan selections.
Highlights on the menu range from Ricky ricotta (Italian tomatoes, sweet Italian fennel sausage or house made vegan fennel sausage, Pecorino Romano, post-oven fresh ricotta dollops, baby arugula, and extra-virgin olive oil) to the Big Bad Wolf (Italian tomatoes, Berkshire soppressata picante, sweet Italian fennel sausage, house-made bacon jam, fresh mozzarella, and Parmigiano Reggiano).
Next to the bar adjacent to the dining room is the U.S. Pizza Museum, which includes a 1969 Pizza Hut “Pete” coin bank and a Milton Bradley pizza-themed board game from 1974.
