Monarque - Baltimore
The Brasserie-style Monarque, owned by Atlas Restaurant Group, is situated in Baltimore’s Harbor East neighborhood. Inspired by the Belle Époque era, between 1871–1880 when culture boomed and extravagance flourished, the restaurant showcases classic steakhouse fare.
There's live entertainment at this colorful space every weekend. Guests may indulge in decadent, burlesque-style performances that include dancers, singers, contortionists, sword swallowers, poets and more.
The food is as decadent as the entertainment. Start with appetizers like black truffle pate, Burgundy escargot, and a seafood platter filled with Maine lobster, oysters on the half shell, and shrimp cocktail. All steaks are USDA prime or wagyu, and include the likes of a 16-ounce New York strip, bone-in Delmonico, and American wagyu bavette.
For entrees, there are dishes like duck frites, short rib boeuf "Bourguignon," truffled roast chicken, and Dover sole. There are cocktails, 500 French wine labels, and an extensive collection of cognac and Armagnac.
