Melting Pot - Downers Grove

This was my family's first time at The Melting Pot. The fondue experience was nice but everything involved was mediocre. Being our first time, the menu and the process was new to us and although our waiter was nice, he rushed through everything which left us confused and a bit frustrated. The food just wasn't for me. The bread was very basic and the drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) were nothing spectacular. I really did not like the way any of the meats, poultry, or fish was seasoned. The best part was the chocolate fondue at the end. On our way out, the staff members acknowledged us which was nice. Overall, I enjoyed the fondue dining experience but if I ever tried it again it wouldn't be at The Melting Pot.

Great time spent my anniversary here with my husband . The martinis are my fav and it was nice and strong.

The issue was more that there was too much good food to choose from. We came to celebrate two birthdays, and got great accommodations as a larger party. Parties of two and three were able to share fondue pots and each pot could make their own selections. Didn't seem to have a wrong choice available though!

My girlfriend and I dined in on 3/25 and had an amazing server named Tia! She was full of life and positive energy which made the night feel even more special. I am in sales and truly appreciate when anyone goes above & beyond, and Tia truly kept smiles on our faces the entire night. This girl deserves a raise! We will be requesting her as our server every time we go in. Thanks again for the awesome evening, Tia!

Hostess at the front desk was completely rude and was no help at all when we asked her questions. Our server was nice but once we were finished with our meal we were forgotten about

My boyfriend and I went to The Melting Pot for an impromptu date and it was amazing. Out server Linda was absolutely amazing, she answered all of out questions and was friendly. The food was amazing to say the least. I highly recommend this place and Linda!!! Thank you again!!

A few years ago, my husband and I came here (my first time) and we did dessert, but last night we decided to have the full meal to celebrate our belated...

Service was great! Julian (sp?) was our server and he was fabulous! Even brought out a plate that said happy birthday! My husband and I had such a great date!

This was the first visit for everyone in our party. We made our reservation and specified we are celebrating an 18th birthday. The hostess made sure to wish my sister a happy birthday when we checked in.(So obviously it was noted in the reservation) We were disappointed there wasn’t a happy birthday or a special dessert item or anything from the server. Based on other people’s photos it looks like they normally do something for birthdays and special occasions- which she did not get that experience. We did enjoy all the food and will most likely be back again.
