Maillard Tavern - Chicago

Welcome to Maillard Tavern, the newest restaurant by Tony Priolo and Ciro Longobardo of Piccolo Sogno and Nonnina. Join us for burgers, a vast beer list and specialty cocktails.

While Priolo and Longobardo are well regarded as some of Chicago's finest names in Italian cuisine, this River West venture marks the pair's first foray into all-American comfort food. The menu is simple but high-quality, with a lineup of decadent burgers that range from classic to fancy, including one variation topped with foie gras.

The rest of the menu adheres to the comfort food theme with crispy chicken sandwiches, milkshakes (add booze if you're feeling saucy), soft-serve ice cream, sundaes, fries and other snacks.

Amazing burger spot. The Mallard burger is the one to get. Our personal favorite spot for a good beer and a burger. Their Mexican dishes are also great. Try the Pozole!

Awesome burger diner offering up a delectable City Slicker burger that has both truffle and foie gras. Yummy truffle fries come in the side. Recommend if you want a classic burger all the way to this City Slicker.

The West Loop can be a bit of a zoo, especially on the weekend, but the Maillard offered a bit of respite from the chaos. The atmosphere was the epitome of chill. Beer selection varied and excellent. And their burgers. Wow. I had the privilege of eating El Jefe, and it was excellent. Succulent meat, perfectly toasted bread, accoutrements were excellent (pickles, cheese, sunny side up egg). The fries were crispy and a nice salty taste. Excellent and friendly service. Would highly recommend. I will be going again to try the signature burger, the Maillard. Eat some good food then hit up the chaos after

Many excellent burger options, all of which can be swapped with Impossible burger. There are lots of other things on the menu but the burgers are so good I always end up getting them. I haven't tried the spiked shakes yet but I am very curious about them. Interesting beer selection.

Ordered from here for lunch at work. I got a mushroom bacon burger. SO greasy I felt like throwing up after I ate it. The fries were cold and they do have huge burgers, but if they're gross then what's the point? The fried onions were delicious, you get a pile of it. I ordered the clam chowder. Barely any clam! Mostly carrots, potatoes, and broccoli I pass.

We ordered telephonically; and was very concise with our order of a hamburger with NO Cheese . They failed at such a simple order. Very disappointed; and not worth the money. Supplementing this, the meat wasn’t fully cooked; I do not recommend.
