My wife and I celebrated a birthday here and everything was outstanding. I've been to top-tier restaurants in New York, Chicago, Dallas, and San Francisco, and I would put La Bistecca in the same category with the best of them. The food was perfectly prepared, and the staff was great. Our waiter Kevin was knowledgeable and efficient. The owner stopped by for a five-minute chat to make sure we were being well taken care of.

A frequented spot by me and my fiance (went here that evening after I proposed). Michael, our server, has only done the absolute best and always taken care of us. Not to say that Joe, Donna or Brooke would make you feel like your anywhere else but home. Joyce, the owner, is also a staple at this old world Italian restaurant, without fail is always asking how ones evening is going, and if there's anything they can do to make the night more special. If you enjoy a nice stake, you'll love one cooked by Lauren one of the chefs at this fine establishment, the real reason why we come back. Not to say the chicken gnocchi or the truffle mac and cheese or one of the daily specials would disappoint. A fully stocked bar and a crew of mixologists with specialty drinks that will keep you coming back for more. Call ahead to see if there is live entertainment, the few times we've been there while going on they do add a tone to the atmosphere that creates a setting hard to find today. Truly a hidden gem. The best restaurant around. Valet service is also offered.

Food and service was excellent. We had the lamb chops and the linguini both were absolutely phenomenal. It’s on the expensive side but the quality matches.

Fabulous dining experience from start to finish! We were greeted at the door by the owner, Jerry Costanza, and seated at a cozy, comfortable table. Our waiter, Kevin, was very good and on his recommendation we both ordered the Filet Mignon after enjoying the best Calamari we’ve ever eaten. We also enjoyed dirty martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives, a nice bottle of Napa Cabernet and creamy delicious cheesecake. We’ll be back!

Our first time here and they didn't disappoint. Me and my wife were treated like family. Every dish or side was seasoned to perfection. Portions were more than generous! Service was above par! This place takes care of its guests and I cannot tell you how amazing the cowboy and the filet was. My wife's was medium rare and mine rare. They were both cooked to perfection! Flavors and presentation was perfect. We cannot wait to go back!

I normally dine out downtown. But I had an engagement in Livonia and didn’t have a lot of time. I made my server aware of my time constraint and he kept the flow of the dinner moving. The chef brought the bottle of wine I requested but also suggested a different one. He poured 2 samples and I loved his suggestion. My friends and I had every expectation exceeded. Even though this was not my first visit, I was surprised how they crushed all aspects of the dining experience. I’m eagerly awaiting my next opportunity to visit.

I am sorry to say how disappointed I was this. I am sure it is my fault for not saying anything but I truly felt they could not correct this. I had ordered the 6 oz. steak. It was too crusty on the outside and it was tough. I could not chew it. The house salad also was a disappointment. We ate there in December and everything was out of this world. We loved it. I think they changed the meat and the cooks. We will not return unfortunately.

It doesn't get any better than La Bistecca. The service is great and the food is amazing. Been coming here for years and it's a 45 Min drive...but well worth it. I wish they had a 2nd location near Bloomfield or West Bloomfield.
