Presentation a 10 out of 10. Taste a 2 out of 10. I bought a pumpkin and banana cream pie. The pumpkin pie lacked the pumpkin flavor as the banana cream pie lack the banana flavor.
My only complaint is I wish I could give them 17 stars! The owner Janet and her daughter are some of the sweetest, hard working (also very beautiful) women I have ever met. The Caribbean woman in the front is definitely a weirdo, and the Ecuadorian guy is definitely a creep, but it’s a bakery what do you expect? There is nowhere in the world that comes close to this place, Eli’s cheesecake is like dollar store cat food compared to their stuff. Everything is amazing, every time. I will not buy a cheesecake unless it’s from them. Thank you Janet , you and your daughter are dynamite ladies and make mom and pop shops are a shining example of why Chicago is so great!
The most delicious, light and fresh cakes you can ever get!
Absolutely a must cake place for any Chicagoan! Today was the third time we got a cheese cake, and it was nothing short of a marvelous experience. The cake was flavorful, with a balanced taste, sweetness and the right texture for a cheese cake. So far we had the Plain, Chocolate Fudge and Pecan Caramel, each unique and amazing.
Mango cheesecake and triple chocolate cake were superb
