Taro boba tea was too sweet. It was $8 with tapioca. The desk girl was cute though. See ya.
The menu is outside, so to order you have to memorize all the add ins for your drink then to wait in line inside to order…very confusing when the menu has over 100 options and it’s drizzling rain down your back while you try to figure out what you want. The guy taking orders was rude about it and claimed he’d never had anyone else think it was a strange setup but the lady and children behind me had to walk in and out several times to remember what they wanted and were audibly saying the same thin. The restaurant is large so it’s not as if they’re lacking space, and it’s the middle of winter who wants to stand outside to decide their order??? on top of all that when I get home, none of the three different types of bubbles and drink add in we’re in one of the two drinks I ordered. I called and asked if they would take the drink half of my bill. First he tried to just take a couple dollars off for the bubbles that did not get put into the drink, I explained I was not going to drink it because it was kind of worthless without the things that make it. He then told me that he would only take a drink my order if I send in a picture of the drink. this was after I told him I was already driving back to Indianapolis so there is no way I could just pull over in take this man a picture of my drink. Never going back again, the guy running the takeout counter is incomplete you know what. I have been coming to this location in Chinatown for a few years on my one or two visits a year to Chicago. A complete 180 has occurred with service since I was here maybe a year ago. Pretty disappointing because the drinks and ingredients are great but now you have to stand outside in the cold, deal with rude service, and potentially get the wrong drink after all that.
Came to Joy yee noodle to get a drink since everybody and their moms had one all over the square. Ima a taro lover. I ordered the taro milk tea.It was...
Love the fruit smoothies here!! So many options and tastes fresh. Prices are higher than a typical boba place, but you get your money's worth...the cups are...
This is a nice place to eat. The staff was pleasant, everyone was pretty much comfortable, wide range of options on the menu (I love options lol), affordable, and the food was delicious. The only thing I would recommend for this place is restructure the arrangement for entering and exiting. Entering and exiting was, more or less, manageable. But with a number of people coming and going, just a little room for everyone to do so without bunching up would make a bit of difference (in my opinion). But, overall, really nice place! I would certainly eat here again and encourage others to do so as well.
The food and service was great. They gave us way more food than was needed, so we had extra to take home. (They provided takeout containers.) We had to eat in an enclosure outside due to Covid. It didn't make a lot of sense, because you could spread out more inside. They did try to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of.
This place used to be good. We have been here for the past two weekends, first one we thought maybe it was a bad day for them but today was the same. Customer service is bad, they take your order and never again ask if you need anything, have to chase them for forks, napkins and everything else. We also notice the quality of the food is not was used to be and they portions either. Prices have been going up and I’m good with us as long as you at least get some decent service, but you can probably get good food and service anywhere else for the same price!
all delicious, just a bit overpriced
