Johnnie's Beef - Elmwood Park

There was a line but it moved super fast, you'd better know what you want right away! The beef is a bit spicy, and they didn't listen when I asked for it dry. The fries are kind of like McDonald's. Definitely ketchup fries.

Hands down the best Italian beef in Chicago. Johnnie’s is an institution and a must go for anyone living in Chicago. Their beef has so much flavor and the bread holds beautifully. Their french fries are perfectly skinny and fried. Hot peppers are hot! And nothing is more satisfying that their lemon ice. Fair warning it gets pretty busy during peak hours. Cash only and seating available outside. Food comes out quick!

One of the best, if not the best, beef stands around. Amazing food at a great price. Beef, juicy, sweet peppers and a large Italian Ice......staples that I try to get every time in the area!
