So much good stuff. Fresh fish cooked to order. Hushpuppies! Good fries. Great salads and pie. Interesting drink and condiment selections. No in house dining but no big deal. We usually just sit in the parking lot or drive down by the lake, listen to the radio, and enjoy our feast.
Oh how I was really hoping this food was amazing. But it fell short. The fried shrimp is good but the breading needs more flavor. Throw some garlic powder in there or something. The hush puppies are delicious that was the best tasting dish out of all of them. The fish chips had a funny taste to them. Bland and off putting. Didn't have that fresh taste. It was like a musty taste. Never have I tasted them like this from any other place. $35 for a half pound of all 3. Very pricy! The man who cooks it is as sweet as pie. But the food was mediocre. I also think the sauces should be given for free when you purchase food. It wasn't... I payed almost $1 for a cocktail sauce.
I ordered fried scallops. The scallops had a very strong chemical (bleach) taste. Could not eat them.
Fish is fresh and the shrimp cocktail excellent-one of our favorite places for many years!
