Duck Duck Goat - Chicago
Before celebrity chef Stephanie Izard opened her third restaurant, she extensively traveled throughout China so she could properly pay homage to one of her favorite cuisines. The executive chef/partner of Girl and the Goat and Little Goat had already found much success in her previous projects with the Boka Restaurant Group, so she already had a built-in audience.
The result of Duck Duck Goat is a combination of classic Chinese cuisine and her interpretation of it. On the menu you'll find some of her childhood favorites like shrimp toast and hot & sour eggdrop soup, plus so much more.
Guests are encouraged to order from the dim sum menu, which is offered on the brunch and dinner menus. You'll find wood-fired ribs, sweet & sour crab rangoon and duck egg rolls, which serve as great starters.
Izard's especially proud to have mastered the art of pulling noodles, and there are a number of offerings on the menu: chicken chow fun, glass noodles and goat belly lo mein are just a few of the top choices. There are also fried rice dishes and standard fare like moo shu pork, grilled beef & broccoli and Peking duck.
