Dolce Arte

Dolce Arte - Chicago

Dolce Arte, "sweet art," delivers aesthetically pleasing -- and delicious -- creations all day long, breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Located in the Morgan Arts Complex, this restaurant is a neighborhood gem, and it's a place you can come to look at some breakthrough art and enjoy delicious bites and beverages.

Combining art from local and international artists, with a wonderful all-day restaurant, Dolce Arte at the Morgan Arts Complex is a powerful one-two punch: a place you can go to browse art and then grab something to eat and drink. it's a good time, and a perfect date night location.

For breakfast, you do not want to take a pass on the Italian Cornetto Sandwich, an eye-opening creation of pesto, prosciutto, provolone, and tomato, composed with an egg upon an Italian croissant. There is also a magnificent array of house-made baked goods and mixed drinks, and you *may* be tempted to start your day with one of their Harvey Wallbangers. Maybe.

Brunch brings a few extra items to the menu, including a steak Milanese and short rib eggs Benedict. The M.A.C. burger is a half pound of Angus beef, with provolone, arugula, pickled onion, garlic aioli and giardiniera...and we recommend you have it on a cornetto bun.

Lunch calls for a range of delightful panini, laden with options like meatballs, turkey, steak Milanese, and Caprese salad. For the noon hour, they roll out the Roman style pizzas. ten-inches with a pinsa crust, just right for a single diner (or two people with light appetites).

After being open a few months, Dolce Art rolled out a dinner menu, and it was worth the wait. Lobster bisque with a mini cornetto is a fine way to start a dinner, and you'll want to make a point of ordering spaghettoni with clams. For heartier appetites there's a Wagyu burger, salmon Vesuvio and an eggplant Parmesan stack that will appeal to those searching for veg forward options.

Dolce Art is a welcome contribution to the food scene in Bridgeport and the larger Chicago dining community, all day long.
