Compass Bar

My group of 4 waited over 45 minutes in line to sit down at Compass. When we arrived, I waited 10 minutes for the manager to speak to us as there were was a sign “wait to be seated”, and then he rudely said “Get in Line”. While we were waiting the group next to us had drinks while they were waiting, so one of our group also went to the 7/11 to get a pack of white claws while we waited. We waited over 45 minutes. Not until they had cleared the table for us, the server stated he wouldn’t be able to seat us because we were drinking outside..and I tried to tell him that the group next to us had cups and were drinking and he said “next time get cups”. I argued, and he said the reason was because they were closing. But then proceeded to seat a group of 4 males in front of us, so clearly this wasn’t the reason. I’m incredibly disappointed with the choice of management as we would have each ordered an entree, a few appetizers, and multiple drinks per person. I will think twice about returning to Compass Bar ever again and giving them any business.

Great little neighborhood bar with truly good wood fired Pizza. They also have a notable assortment of craft beers. More than worth the stop.

Best pizza I've ever had. BBQ pork shoulder pizza was good. The Butcher pizza was great. But the Italian pizza..... the italian pizza was effing phenomenal....

Piza and beers were perfect. The bar is so Chicago. Gorgeous ceiling, dark wood walls, lots of TVs, and wonderful service!! We travel a great deal and Chicago knows SERVICE!! Bathrooms need to be cleaner though!

This would be our go to neighborhood bar if it wasn't for the most unfriendly bartender, Scott. This guy should not be working behind a bar with the attitude he lets you have a piece of. Not only has he no customer service acumen he is also the slowest bar tender I have experienced. It took over 10 min to get his attention and another 10 to get a beer even there were only 3 more people at the bar and less than 10 more patrons sitting at tables. Compass is a really nice bar and restaurant and definitely deserves better. With that kind of bartender/manager it is, however, no surprise that they seem to loose more and more business. I'm giving 2 stars only because pizza was pretty good and the beer selection is decent and reasonably priced.

Great food, had the Butcher Pizza (lots of meat), this is a Nebraska Huskers bar but friendly regardless!

Great food, tons of beer, and amazing staff. Come here very once in a while, and I'm pleased each time. I always try a new beer (they have like 200+, so there's always something new), usually get wings (which are great, even for a wing snob like me), and occasionally a cocktail (little strong, but that's just my taste). I hang out at the bar usually and the staff is very friendly and courteous. Never too pushy, never too distant, they seem to be there whenever I need them. Great place to either relax for a drink alone or hang out with friends to watch the games.

The atmosphere was nice. Tons of tvs. Food was tasty. Didnt have some ingredients to make a few of the cocktails. Waitress was clearly not happy we sat in her section at 10pm so service wasnt friendly at all. Id go back but so many other options.
