Boy, they have changed, now it's name "ay mami" and they don't even sell alcohol, and food is just not pretty, cheap. But not good! Just do not go here, you have been warned.

Too expensive. Honestly the food was good, but the restaurant across the street also makes great food and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. The decor was nice, vibe was classy but that doesn't mean a plate of monfongo should cost more than $10.

The food, in a lucky day, is good. But many times they have problems with the cook, and the food is poor, lack of flavor and a big disappointment. The place is not very clean. Last time we went it was not a clean place. The owners seems to be good people, but they need to put more attention to the food and the cleanness of the place. If they can put attention to these important details, they may have a good restaurant.

Went there for lunch with my Mother. Coco is inviting from the street. The Jibaro is spot on. The waitress kept us interested in the menu. Will be back next time I visit from Texas.

Amazing food! The mofongo is to die for. I love Dominican Food - and there are not too many Dominican restaurants in Chicago - so this Puerto Rican restaurant is the closest thing to it. I love the decor .. and the service is phenomenal.

Bought a gropon deal for 6. I Made a reservation for 8pm and was not seated til 8:45. Waitress did not take drink orders. So I had to go to the bar to request drinks because she was not made available to us. We did not get our orders taken til we were seated about 20 minutes, then after another 20 minutes she came to tell us that they were out of the appetizer we ordered and then we still had to wait another fifteen minutes for our appetizer to come. Seriously, this was absolutely ridiculous. As now we are famished when our food arrives it was just tasteless and bland. It was lacking salt and spices. None of us, I mean none of us finished our meal. We had placed our desert order with our dinner and appetizer order. Another server comes and tells us there was no more chocolate cake and yet had to wait still 10-15 minutes for them to bring our dessert. To be there at 8 and not walk out til 11, Just Ridiculous. The worst Service ever. We got charged for extra drinks and then they had the audacity to impose the tip on our bill... Never Never again. And I will tell everyone I know just how horrible it was.
