Club 77 - Chicago
The owners of chic Roscoe Village eatery Le Sud have opened a Chicago-inspired supper club in the Loop. And by Chicago inspired we mean there's an Italian beef-inspired steak on the menu and artwork merging the Windy City's past and present.
Much of the restaurant's decor has been reclaimed from all over the Midwest. The owners sought to make the main dining room feel like an upscale place to dine. Bookshelves filled with vintage and modern tomes add to Club 77's appeal.
Menu highlights include the aforementioned Wagyu sirloin that's Italian inspired with house-made giardiniera, roasted peppers and red wine jus; house-smoked salmon and roasted eggplant with cauliflower "risotto." There's also a special menu for theater-goers.
Finally, there's live entertainment at Club 77. A pianist/vocalist performs as well as there's karaoke after work in the bar.
