Chicago Gaelic Park - Oak Forest

The 50-acre Chicago Gaelic Park promotes Irish culture, music and sports with a variety of activities. The complex includes The Carraig Irish pub, open for dinner daily, with regular live music; banquet and meeting facilities; sports playing fields for football and hurling games; and a performing arts theater. From November through May, an Irish breakfast features on the second Sunday of each month and a Celtic supper, with a terrific hot buffet and live entertainment, every Sunday.

So, this place has a variety of purposes. I am going to focus on the Carrig Pub, and the back patio. This is a great pace to see some Irish music, and have a pint with friends. It is not the cheapest place in town to drink (not that it's outrageous by any means), but the atmosphere makes up for that! They have a rib special (on Wednesday currently) and the ribs are FANTASTIC! They also have music outside on the back patio on certain days. Check their schedule online. I do miss Irish Fest. I wish they would bring it back...even if on a smaller level.

This was a nice getaway with friends to enjoy food,dance,music for an afternoon,friendly atmusfear. Almost being similar to German October fest.

Always a great place to stop in for a pint and a bite. Was a favorite spot for my grandpa and whenever I stop in, I always feel like we’re together. Currently my favorite is the corned beef sandwich or rib night.

My husband & I had our wedding in the emerald room in December and could not have asked for a more perfect experience. The food was great, the room was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and all staff was very helpful. Nancy and Renate both worked with me to make sure our day went exactly how we had envisioned it. They answered countless calls and emails and were an absolute joy to work with from the moment we set our date! I could not recommend Gaelic Park enough for future brides/grooms!

My daughter's wedding was amazing! The staff was so helpful and readily available during the planning process and the event itself! They were very accomodating as well. The food was great and hot when served. The bar package they had to offer was a perfect variety and even included Jack Daniels. It was nice not to feel you had to upgrade it to get good quality liquor. We felt the price to have a wedding here was very reasonable and the service we received was outstanding! The Tara room was beautiful when it was all set up for us! Highly recommend this venue. They truly made it an incredible day for my daughter and son-in-law!

I was at Gaelic Park for a Bridal Shower. I, myself, kinda 'inspect' for clean, first. Great job! The food was outstanding! We got to select from such a W I D E variety of food to each fill our own plates, with selections from Breakfast - eggs, omelets, fresh fruit, cheese, veggies, or Lunch of mashed, gravy, sausage, beef, chicken, etc! The crowd of 'Girls' was good company for having a great gab-fest day to celebrate coming wedded bliss, for Seamus and Ashley, while we filled our tummies!
