I’ve never been so moved by a building. This is the most magnificent man-made space I’ve had the pleasure of visiting in the United States. The stories on our tour with Johnny made our experience even more magical. What a statement of public access to such beauty and knowledge. A must-visit when you are in Chicago!

From outside this cultural center looks pretty much ordinary, just like any other neoclassic bldg. However, when you enter you're blown away with stunning interiors with mosaics, chandeliers and the most amazing Tiffany glass dome, along with several exhibits. I was greatly surprised it is free to visit.

Their cultural center is free, so if you have time or need to duck out of the rain, it’s a fine place to stop. The building detail is spectacular. There isn’t much to see, but they do have two art galleries you can walk through. Elevators are available.

Great place to walk around and look at contemporary art (art made my artists who are alive today). A lot of young, artists of color represented. You can take 30 minutes or 2+ hours looking at the rotating exhibits and installations. There is a shop in the cultural center, prices are higher than expected but everything sold is created locally - some very cool pieces in there! Staff is friendly, space is kept clean, not particularly loud. There are sitting down spaces as well. Would recommend to anyone!
