I ate here with my girlfriend and sister yesterday afternoon. I like that they will bring you the food after you order and pay, but that's about all I liked. The pasta dish that I ordered was average and completely bland. I was not impressed. The fried zucchini was pretty good, but I was disappointed that the appetizer was the star of the meal. Some of the other dishes may be better, but the experience that I had was less than impressive.
I have been dining at this restaurant for many years. Unfortunately recently the service and food are getting worse and worse. I waited 45 min (there were only a few clients inside) to get my Chicken Piccata and finally when it arrived it was cold. Bye bye “Capis”, this was my last visit in your restaurant. Now I’m not surprised that even during lunch hours your restaurant is empty.
Excellent food. Lively atmosphere. Great location. Food comes fast and it is great. I love to eat there everytime I visit Chicago.
Great location in Navy Pier. Good prices and good food. Nice outdoor seating
Based on the menu and prices we expected Capi's to be a traditional restaurant where you are served at your table and waited on by staff. We placed our order at the front and then sat down to wait for our food to be delivered. We were there for about 45 minutes and just once someone came by to see how we were doing. For us it was pretty disappointing because it was my birthday and we expected a different type of restaurant. The food wasn't awful but there wasn't anything special about it either. The bread sticks were pretty dry. Overall it was decent, just not at all what we were expecting. Capi's was decorated well and seemed to be clean.
