Campeche Restaurant has been serving Authentic Mexican Food since the late 1970’s. What does “Campeche” mean? Well, Campeche is actually a city in Mexico located on the Gulf of Mexico, where grandma was born. Grandma was the original CEO and Founder of Campeche Restaurant! She wanted to name the company after her hometown since the majority of her recipes are from there. Family recipes have been passed down for 3 generations including her Famous Homemade Margaritas and Pico de Gallo! Company first started in 1978 in the Chicagoland area and has been family owned ever since.

With 5 locations in the North Side of Chicago and the latest one here in Galena, IL.

Stopped for dinner while staying in Galena this weekend and really enjoyed the stop. The chips and fresh salsa were very good My wife and I shared a Family Margarita Flight (see picture), which was a great value compared to the much smaller version for 2/3rds the cost. All flavors were delicious (Jalapeno, Pineapple, Watermelon & Mango) - and the Taijin on the rim made them even better! For our meal, we shared an order of Fajitas (see pictures) and not only was it very good, but it was plenty of food for both of us. It was a bit pricey, but if you are selective in your choices it is manageable - and it all tastes great! If you like Mexican food, you'll want to stop here during your stay. Fabulous little joint. Went there twice in 2 days on a trip to Galena. Food was delicious and fresh. The staff was wonderful and genuinely friendly. Atmosphere was comfortable and lively. We will totally be back. Thanks so much!

Just off the beaten path in Galena, this restaurant has quick table service, excellent food and cold drinks. We had freshly made chunky guacamole, chicken tacos and a chicken burrito suiza. The weather was great so we chose patio seats in the breeze. Make this a must-try on your next stop...

The service was great!!! But the margs were not strong at all, mostly juice and the we ended up not ordering food at all because of the prices. We used to go here many times a week, but things have changed.

Great Mexican restaurant with a great rooftop patio. We were seated right away. Rooftop service was simple and quick. We placed our orders online and received them very fast. Food was delicious. Drinks were too. Service was great. Do visit!

Love this spot for their chill patio seating. Great deal on their pitcher margarita and love that they serve complimentary chips and pico. Their queso is excellent as well. The chips that came with it were really fluffy and slightly sweet which we really liked. Their entrees are great and appreciate a more condensed menu with really good options and modifications. Rice and beans were not my favorite but everything else made up for it and I would absolutely come back!

We had the best time here, dinner outside on the upper deck, best jalapeño margarita’s ever , they have flights of tequila ( there is a great selection) flights of margarita ( lots of flavors). We had Chunky guacamole that is to die for, mini chimichanga for a appetizer, garlic shrimp fajitas, and steak tacos with real steak! The service was also outstanding, If you are in Galena make sure you stop here!

Amazing food, drinks and service! Small and intimate, so definitely make a reservation! First Mexican place that I have seen “Flights” and that truly was what attracted me, well that and the amazing food pictures! Went a few weeks ago and ready to go back, hopefully this weekend!

Great workers and completely amazing food! You can taste the authenticity and work put into the dishes. We loved the chips served with the queso. We can’t wait to make a visit back again
