Billy Sunday - Chicago
Named after the Prohibition-era evangelist, Billy Sunday is Matthias Merges's second project following Yusho, which is now closed. The bar focuses on classic cocktails with surprising new twists, as well as a focus on large-format craft beers. The circular bar is the heart of the venue, with tables for dining in the front and back.
The food menu consists of snacks, small plates, "larger than small plates." Highlights range from cheesy monkey bread and chicken liver mousse to steak tartare and green bean casserole.
Billy Sunday is located in Logan Square, in a part of the neighborhood that also includes Lula Cafe, Longman & Eagle and Webster Wine bar.
