Daisies

Vegetables and pastas take the spotlight at Logan Square's inimitable Daisies, a family-run endeavor from chef Joe Frillman and co. The quaint, bustling restaurant features an ever-changing menu of handmade pastas, ranging in color and style from vivid beet agnolotti with smoked trout roe to black truffle ravioli with rhubarb and cured lamb.

Whirlaway

The Whirlaway lounge has been providing Logan Square with a comfortable and social drinking establishment for over 27 years. Purchased by the Jaimes family in 1980, the Whirlaway has been family owned and run ever since. Rumor has it that the original owner placed a bet on a horse that was not favored to win. This horse would later become a triple crown winner. With his earnings the bar was built and named after the horse; Whirlaway.

Webster's Wine Bar

The Logan Square reboot of Webster's Wine Bar is completely different from the original, which was located in Lincoln Park. It's still very wine focused, however, there is also an emphasis on craft cocktails and local beer.

Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea - Logan Square

Intelligentsia, one of Chicago's original and most esteemed local coffee roasters, opened this spiffy new location in Logan Square in Spring 2013. The shop is small and incredibly sleek, decorated almost entirely in white, with a map of Chicago on the back wall and an artsy magazine rack on another. The focal point of the cafe is the central coffee bar, where baristas work their magic on pourover coffee and serve up pastries from Floriole Cafe & Bakery. Along with numerous bar stools, the cafe sports a few booths by the front windows.
