Hermosa Restaurant

Cambodian cuisine has never had much exposure in Chicago; Hermosa Restaurant is going to change all that. Though the name may suggest the food of Mexico, Hermosa is all about bringing the food of Cambodia, as well as other Asian cuisines, to Chicago.

Ørkenoy

Ørkenoy in Humboldt Park is part of a new generation of Chicago restaurants: recently opened in the Kimball Arts Center, this artist-influenced casual operation opened in mid-September, 2020, with a carryout window and a dining area, the better to serve us all during the pandemic.

Papa Ray's Pizza & Wings - Avondale

Established in 2010 by brothers George and John Rayyan, Papa Ray's serves specialty pizzas such as The Works, the Meat-Atarian and a Greek pizza with feta, tomatoes, basil, garlic and black olives. Wings, rib tips, fries, salads and garlic breads round out the menu, available for dine-in, carry out and delivery.

Whirlaway

The Whirlaway lounge has been providing Logan Square with a comfortable and social drinking establishment for over 27 years. Purchased by the Jaimes family in 1980, the Whirlaway has been family owned and run ever since. Rumor has it that the original owner placed a bet on a horse that was not favored to win. This horse would later become a triple crown winner. With his earnings the bar was built and named after the horse; Whirlaway.
