One of the biggest brunch additions of late is Revival Food Hall, the massive dining complex in the Loop that’s so revered for lunch. Now Revival is getting into brunch with Saturday service through December 17. Perfect for the holidays, when hordes of locals and visitors flock downtown for festivities and merriment, many of Revival’s vendors are featuring special brunch items to round out their menus. This includes fried chicken and Champagne from The Budlong, a “Smoque Brisket & Fat Shallot Hash” from both Smoque BBQ and The Fat Shallot, pumpkin buttered lattes from the Revival Cafe-Bar and much more. Vendors are also working together on brunch cocktail garnishes, and Bloody Mary carts will be situated throughout the food hall. Brunch is served 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Atwood just rolled out a brand new brunch menu as well, and courtesy of adept chef Brian Millman, it looks like some of the most interesting and alluring morning items we’ve seen in quite some time. This includes Sricaha-honey chicken & waffles made with duck fat-fried chicken thighs and lime scallion butter; apple pie French toast with cinnamon raisin bread, apple pie compote, brown sugar streusel, spiced pecans and apple cider syrup; and bacon-oatmeal granola bars made with dried cherries, pecans, chopped bacon and bacon fat.

Brunch and jazz go together like pancakes and maple syrup. Fittingly, Dusek’s Board & Beer celebrates that kindred pairing with its new “Good Luck Jazz” brunch at adjoining piano bar, Tack Room. Taking place the first Saturday of every month, the brunch features a three-course prix fixe menu attuned to live jazz by the Luke Sagadin Trio, all for just $25. The menu also includes one brunch cocktail and items like ricotta beignets and roasted Prince Edward Island mussels. Plus, if you make a reservation for five or more, the table will get a complimentary bottle of Henkell Brut Champagne.

As if you needed any further reasons to visit Pleasant House Pub and fawn over the British restaurant, bar and pub, along comes breakfast poutine. A new addition to the Pilsen restaurant’s brunch repertoire, served every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., the dish features triple-fried “chips” with sausage gravy, cheddar and a sunny-side up egg.

Pizzerias and brunch may not seem like the most obvious pairing, but Streeterville’s new Robert’s Pizza Company is out to prove that pizza is the perfect vessel for iconic brunch flavors. With new menu items like its Loxza Pizza (lox, double cream cheese, chives, red onion, chopped egg, dill, capers) and cinnamon buns made with pizza dough, Robert’s has a little bit of something for everyone. To drink, try the Brunch Money Cocktail, made with Patron XO Cafe, hot coffee, and heavy cream. Brunch is now available Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
