Pre-Theatre Dining at Nonnina

With the onset of highly anticipated Hamilton on Broadway, theatre season is officially getting underway, and Nonnina is celebrating with a new pre-theatre dinner menu. The River North Italian gem, which is just across the river from the Theatre District, is offering three-course dinner menus for $30 per person. Courtesy of executive chef Chris Macchia, the menus are available Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Items on the menu include minestrone soup, sausage and peppers, chicken Parmesan, salmon oreganato, and tiramisu for dessert.

Columbus Day Seafood Boil at Oyster Bah

In honor of Columbus Day on October 10, Oyster Bah is getting into the holiday spirit with a little seafood boil. For $29.95 per plate, guests at the restaurant can fill up on head-on shrimp, clams, sausage, corn on the cob, and potatoes. Conveniently, since this falls on a Monday, patrons can also partake in the restaurant’s Magnum Monday promo, which features glasses of Domaine Dupeuble Beaujolais for $11. Reservations are suggested for the seafood boil and can be made by calling Oyster Bah. 

Hamiltinis at The Dearborn

In other theatre news, The Dearborn, which is conveniently located smack dab in the heart of the Theatre District, is toasting to Hamilton with some themed specials set to feature through the duration of the show’s run. These include the Hamilton Dessert by pastry chef Courtney Joseph, who pairs macarons with scoops of vanilla ice cream. To drink, try the Hamiltini, made with St. Croix Cruzan Rum, sherry, simple syrup, lime, and Peychaud’s bitters. It costs $13 in honor of the “thirteen original colonies.”

All You Can Eat Wings at Red Door

With football season in full swing, there’s no better time to indulge your wings cravings. Red Door is the place to be this season, considering the Bucktown bar’s new Monday Night Football all you can eat special. Every Monday night through the season, $15 earns diners bottomless wings and a shot of whiskey. Wings are served at kickoff time and come in varieties like Vietnamese caramel, jerk, ghost chile, curry fried chicken and Korean dakgangjeong. There will also be rotating craft beers and $2 shots of Fireball, tequila, and whiskey. 

Prosecco Event at City Winery

If bubbly is more your style, head to City Winery on October 12 for a special Prosecco event with wine expert Alan Tardi. He’ll be in attendance to discuss and spotlight Prosecco Superiore DOCG, to be featured via six different wines up for sampling, including rare indigenous grape varieties. It’s a great opportunity for sparkling wine lovers to take advantage of. The cost is $45 per person and tickets can be accessed here


Order Delivery From Duck Duck Ta’Go

The hottest new delivery option in town comes courtesy of acclaimed chef Stephanie Izard and her feverishly popular Chinese restaurant, Duck Duck Goat. Courtesy of the restaurant’s newly opened takeout window, Duck Duck Ta’Go, diners can now order her food from the comfort of their own homes. Available via DoorDash, the menu features Taiwanese fried chicken, shrimp toast sandwiches, beef noodle soup, sticky rice bowls, crab rangoon, tofu noodles salad, xi’an fried potatoes, and more.
