Watch the Fireworks at Harry Caray's Navy Pier

The Fourth of July aren’t the only time to take in fabulous fireworks in the city. All summer long, Navy Pier hosts fireworks displays, including every Saturday. One of the best spots to watch the spectacle is, without a doubt, Harry Caray's Navy Pier Located on the Pier, the nautically inclined restaurant provides a front-row seat to all the action. It also helps that the restaurant boasts a terrific wine and Champagne program, plus dishes and desserts to accompany the show.

Friday Lunch at Pub Royale

Start weekending early with lunch at Pub Royale, which just added midday service starting at 11:30 a.m. on Fridays. The Anglo-Indian bar has added items like deviled shrimp, avocado paratha, and keema paratha with minced lamb, raita, and chatt masala. And while previously Pub Royale closed its kitchen from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., it now remains open all day.

Brunch at Beacon Tavern

In other midday news, newly opened Beacon Tavern just added to its portfolio with weekend brunch service. Available every Saturday and Sunday starting at 10:00 a.m., the Magnificent Mile restaurant features contemporary and fresh takes on classic tavern cuisine, including stuffed French toast, sausage and cheese muffins, yogurt panna cotta, and monte cristos. Other popular lunch and dinner items are also on hand, like fried chicken and soft-shell crab sliders.

Dove’s Luncheonette at the Wicker Park Farmers’ Market

In case you needed more reason to visit the Wicker Park Farmers’ Market on Sundays, Dove's Luncheonette just gave it to you. The restaurant, which is located a stone’s throw from the weekly market, has joined the fray with a stand of their own at booth #7 near the northwestern entrance of the park. Each week, Dove’s provides refreshing snacks and quenchers for shoppers (or any passersby) to enjoy. They’ve teamed up with Seedling Orchard to make fresh fruit paletas in flavors like blueberry-yogurt, strawberry, and cherry, plus agua frescas like hibiscus.
