Weekend Planner: Memorial Beer at The Gage, Baffo Opens, Urbanbelly Holiday Feast, and Holiday Specials at Rockit & Co.
Drink for a Good Cause at The Gage
In memorium of beverage industry professional and Gage alum Jason Cevallos who recently passed away, The Gage is celebrating his life with a special keg of Revolution Brewing's Bean Gene. The bourbon-barrel aged, coffee-infused porter was tapped on December 17 and is available until supplies run out. All proceeds from every $10 pint go towards Cevallos' family.
Check Out Baffo, Eataly's Fine Dining Restaurant
Eataly has been packing in the crowds for a couple weeks now, with its miscellany of casual eateries strewn throughout two floors. Now, those looking for the finer things in life can head to Eataly's just-opened fine dining restaurant, Baffo. Located through a seperate entrance on Grand Avenue, Baffo derives its name from Eataly founder, Oscar Farinelli, whose most illustrious feature was his mustache, aka baffo. The name is also a nod to Babbo, Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich's most successful restaurant in New York City. This formal space offers antipasti, housemade pastas, entrees, and exquisite desserts.

Holiday Feasting at Urbanbelly
Save the turkey and the ham and the lethargy for later. The time for noodles and dumplings and fried rice is now. Urbanbelly gets into the holiday spirit the best way it nows how, with contemporary Asian cuisine fit for sharing with groups of friends and families. Now through December 31, the restaurant is offering a special menu for groups of four or more. At $25 per person, the menu includes two sides, two dumpling varieties, a rice dish, a noodle dish, a glass of wine per guest, and dessert. Menu items include cucumber kimchi, squash and orange dumplings with passion fruit vinaigrette, ground lemongrass chicken fried rice, rice cake pad Thai, and maple-glazed mini doughnuts with Vietnamese cinnamon.
Holiday Eats From Rockit Ranch Productions
Holiday ham TV dinners, jingle bell burgers, and holiday cranberry punch are just some of the vittles available right now from the Rockit Ranch roster of restaurants and bars. Rockit Bar & Grill gets all nostaltic on us with a holiday ham TV dinner, featuring a decidedly adult-friendly medley of bourbon brown sugar-glazed applewood-smoked ham country-style mashed potatoes, four-cheese mac, steamed broccoli, buttered corn, sweet potato fries, and holiday sugar cookies. At Rockit Burger Bar, they're doling out jingle bell burgers, a venison burger bedecked with bourbon-cherry jam, caramelized red onions, and foie-nut butter (!). Thirsty? Put down the nog and look no further than Ay Chiwowa's holiday cranberry punch, made with red wine, tequila, orange juice, cranberry juice, brown sugar, lime, and freshly muddled fruits. Sunda's doing something called a Toasted Gingersnap, featuring Bombay Sapphire, fresh grapefruit juice, lime juice, egg white, ginger syrup, mint, and crushed almond and orange rim.
Ho ho ho!
