House Brews Debut at Eataly

Eataly's on-site mico-brewery has officially given birth to three brews, two thirds of which sound like characters from Downton Abbey: Gina, Sofia, and Flip Ale. Guests are welcome to taste the fruits of Eataly's beer labors with a new promotion that lets patrons taste the three cask ales along with complimentary bites at Eataly's beer-themed restaurant, Birreria. The promo runs from 11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.

The NOSH Returns to Block Thirty Seven

Spanish Market Dinner at Mercat a la Planxa

Save money on plane fare by pretending you're in a Spanish market at Mercat a la Planxa this weekend. On Saturday, February 22, executive chef Jose Garces will be in town to inaugurate the restaurant's new private dining space, The Barcelona Room, with a special dinner event. Early in the day, the chef will be out shopping at local markets for provisions (you're not invited to that part), to be utilized in a Spanish market-themed dinner with items such as diver scallops, chorizo, crab, and Serrano ham. The space will be decked out a la Barcelona's La Boqueria market, featuring various stalls of active culinary stations and other food items. Dinner kicks off at 7:00 p.m. and costs $45 per person. Reservations can be made by calling 312-765-0524.

Fried Chicken Sundays at State and Lake Chicago Tavern

State and Lake Chicago Tavern knows that nothing comforts on a day of rest quite like fried chicken. Hence the onset of fried chicken Sundays! Available every Sunday, half or full buckets of fried chicken come with either five pieces of chicken and two biscuits ($16) or 10 pieces and four biscuits ($30). It's a finger-licking good time.
