Chicago Marathon Edition: Weekend Planner

Chicago Marathon Edition:

Free Doughnuts for Marathoners

Nothing satisfies a Marathon training spree quite like a cake doughnut. Even better when said doughnuts are free. This Marathon weekend, Glazed & Infused is offering free old-fashioned doughnuts to any runner that shows their marathon medal or bib at any location. The offer is limited to one per guest. Because you're worth it.

The DMK Marathon

Would you rather run 26 miles or barhop at a feverish pace from one lauded barstaurant to another? The answer is the latter. DMK Burger Bar is hosting its own style of marathon this weekend on October 11, wherein participants race from one spot to another, with beer waiting for them at the finish line at Henry's Swing Club. Runners meet at DMK at 2:30 p.m., with the race kicking off at 3:00 p.m. Runners can take whichever route they like to get to Henry's Swing Club. Once there, they'll be able to enjoy free draft beer till 7:00 p.m., so hurry up! First place runner gets a free year of beer (once a week, unlimited draft beer at Henry's), second and third get free cocktail parties for 10. Register for the race online at
