Three Floyds Dinner at Replay Andersonville

No better way to kick off Memorial Day weekend than with a five-course beer dinner. Replay Andersonville knows what’s up. The arcade bar will host a Three Floyds tasting event on May 25 at 7:00 p.m., featuring some of the Indiana brewery’s most popular beers along with seasonal fare curated by chefs Bernardo Ibarra and Kaz Medhat. The menu costs $55 per person, and reads as follows:

First course: watermelon gazpacho with LazerSnake American Pale Ale
Second course: shrimp ceviche with Zombie Dust American Pale Ale
Third course: Alpha King-poached pear salad with Alpha King American Pale Ale
Fourth course: beer-braised pork osso buco with Black Heart English Double IPA
Fifth course: amaro- and coffee-infused truffles and berries with Wig Splitter Oatmeal Stout

Taco Tuesdays at Honey Butter Fried Chicken

For lovers of both tacos and fried chicken, you’re in for a treat. In addition to implementing Tuesday hours, Honey Butter Fried Chicken is rolling out their own rendition of “Taco Tuesdays,” and it’s a good one. Available every Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., the new promo features two fried chicken tacos available three different ways: with a can of Tecate for $10, with a can of Tecate and a shot of tequila for $12, or as is for $8.

Empirical Brewery Dinner at Tokio Pub

While Three Floyds takes the stage at Replay, Chicago’s own Empirical Brewery gets a tasting dinner all its own at Tokio Pub. Taking place May 26 at 6:30 p.m., the four-course affair features items like IPA “cracker jacks,” jerk chicken wings, pastrami short rib, and apricot upside-down cake, all matched with different beers from the Ravenswood brewery. The cost is just $45 per person and reservations can be made by calling Tokio Pub.

Brewers Paddle Battle at SPiN

In further beer news, SPiN is getting in on the Chicago Craft Beer Week action with a fun event of its own on May 23. From 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., River North’s new ping pong social club will play host to the Brewers Paddle Battle, wherein four local craft breweries—Lagunitas, Revolution, Half Acre, and Solemn Oath—will be in attendance featuring four different specialty brews on tap at $4 each. All breweries will also be vying for paddle glory at the ping pong tables on Center Court, so that’s a fun little bonus.
