Weekday Planner: Perennial Virant Happy Hour, Domaine Sainte Croix Wine Tasting, SAUCED Night Market, Pie & Pint at Corridor Brewery & Provisions

Perennial Virant Launches Happy Hour

Not all happy hours are created equal. Because not all happy hours have discounted cheese curds, pierogies, and beef tartare. Perennial Virant is really raising the bar on happy hour with their new weekday promo, taking place from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Starting February 15, the program features light bites like the aforementioned snacks, along with a Midwestern cheese board for $17. There's also craft beer on draft for $5, a classic cocktail for $10, and wines by the glass for $7.

Domaine Sainte Croix Wine Tasting at White Oak Tavern & Inn

In other boozy news, White Oak Tavern & Inn is hosting a special French wine tasting on February 17, which should be of interest for oenophiles with a proclivity for Southern France. Elizabeth Bowen of Domaine Saint Croix will be in attendance for the evening to discuss the family estate and winery with guests and pour samples of five wines: La Serre Blanc, Corbieres Le Fournas, Pourboire Nature, Magneric, and Carignan. To compliment, chef Tom Van Lente will provide a variety of Mediterranean-inspired hors d'oeuvres. At the end of the event, wines will be available for purchase. Tickets for the wine tasting are $29 and can be purchased here. It runs from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

SAUCED Night Market

For this next installment of SAUCED Night Market, the food/drink/shopping collective gets back to its roots at Emporium Arcade Bar in Logan Square. The pared-down event takes place February 16 from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m., with a handful of food vendors, artists, and local artisans. The 21-plus event is free to attend, headlined this week with Schwa chef de cuisine Brian Fisher. He'll be manning Emporium's permanent indoor food truck and serving up his own distinct brand of eats. He'll be joined by other food vendors like Saigon Sisters, Cookies & Carnitas, Happy Lobster, Puffs of Doom, and Yum Dum Dumplings. Beer for the evening come courtesy of Middle Brow Beer and Corridor Brewery & Provisions. In terms of retail items, expect beer-inspired candles by Barleywick, watercolor notebooks by Allie Kushnir, jewelry by Locked & Layered, and more.

Pie & Pint at Corridor Brewery & Provisions

Speaking of Corridor Brewery, the new Lakeview spot has launched a weekly Monday promotion that should help kick off the week in style. The aptly dubbed "Pie & Pint" promo is available every Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., wherein guests get any 10-inch pizza and any pint of beer for $14.
