Celebrating its first anniversary in apropos style, Duran European Sandwiches Cafe is hosting an event on June 27 featuring music by Duran Duran. I mean, they won't be in attendance, but they'll be there in spirit. Featuring New Wave music by DJ veganinblack and complimentary mini open-faced sandwiches and drinks, the event takes place from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. RSVP is required and can be made by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
312 Garden Party
The best way to embrace summer and celebrate the season is with a garden-fresh al fresco feast. Like the one taking place June 27 at 312 Chicago, featuring vegetables and herbs culled from the hotel's rooftop garden. Located on the lush restaurant patio, the four-course fete will showcase prime summery Italian eats curated by executive chef Luca Corazzina, and you bet your ass they'll be fresh. Barley's Angels Returns to Chicago
Good morning, Charlie. Barley's Angels are back in action in Chicago June 25. Their mission: to instill deliciousness at Longman & Eagle. Its inaugural summer event will showcase summer beers on the restaurant patio, featuring a bevy of beverages for sampling from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. There will also be snacks and chit chat by guest brewers in attendance. It's $15 to attend and spots can be reserved here.
The Bounty of the Midwest at Browntrout
Browntrout's chef Sean Sanders and Tom Leavitt from White Oak Gourmet join forces for a special four-course, Midwest-tastic meal on June 23. The degustation sends proceeds to the Spence Farm Foundation, so eat up for a good cause. With first and second courses by Sanders and third and fourth by Leavitt, dishes include black-garlic glazed mushrooms, charred Mexican street corn salad, 18-hour orange-smoked Catalpa Grove shoulder, and rhubarb panna cotta.
