The two chefs will cook a six-course dinner together starting at 6:30 p.m., with techniques and flavors from Piemontese culture sharing kitchen space with Japanese robatayaki. There will also be an abundance of Japanese sake and Italian wines. Dishes include ume marinated foie gras torchon with nori bread, grilled octopus with fingerling potatoes and salsa verde, Italian noodles with Wagyu cheeks, duck breast with morel mushrooms and pickled ramps, and semolina sesame fritters with green tea and lime curd. The dinner costs $191 per person. A portion of proceeds go to Pilot Light, a charity designed to empower children to make healthier eating choices.

Maybe this will help mitigate the incessant lines? Red-hot cider pub The Northman just added weekday lunch service to its repertoire, featuring a focus on lighter dishes designed to match with cider. Courtesy of chef Sean Sanders, the lineup includes a ploughman’s platter, chips with black garlic aioli, spring pea and ramp soup, kale and arugula salad, grilled chicken thigh grinder, falafel wrap, pasty hand pies, fish & chips, and more. Lunch is available Tuesday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
