Toothache Event at TWO

'Tis also the season for sugar-induced toothaches. If you're gonna go there, you might as well do it right. TWO knows what's up, with its first annual dessert-focused dine around event, Toothache, taking place December 14. Along with resident pastry chef George Kovach, the West Town restaurant will welcome pastry talent from throughout the city for the decadent degustation, which runs from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Participating chefs include Kym DeLost of The Gage, Jessica Vazquez of Bohemian House, Jove Hubbard of Cindy's, Becky Broeske of HotChocolate, Lisa Bonjour of mk, and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring children's clothing or unwrapped toy donations for drop-off upon arrival. Then feel free to meander around sampling desserts from each chef, casting your vote for your favorite before the winner announcement at 7:45 p.m. Tickets for the event are $45, which includes dessert samples and beverages. Tickets are limited and are available for purchased here.

Bar Food Bonanza at City Winery

The holidays are an apt to drink a lot. Especially wine. And especially paired with bar snacks. City Winery raises the bar on the tradition with its Bar Food Bonanza event December 14 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. For the offbeat dinner event, City Winery will give bar snacks a farm-to-table update, pairing them with wines for an elegant paired tasting. The wines for the evening hail from Silver Oak and Twomey, featuring wines such as the 2012 Twomey Pinot Noir, the 2014 Twomey Sauvignon Blanc, the 2011 Twomey Merlot, and the 2010 Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon. Tickets are $90. Call City Winery to reserve your spot.
