Steakhouses Serve Up Thanksgiving Menus and Specials
Steakhouses in Chicago are really rolling out the red carpet for Thanksgiving this year, featuring a variety of tasting menus, specials and more. Here are some of the best steakhouse options for Thanksgiving around town:
Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab: From noon until 7:00 p.m. on November 24, Joe’s features a classic-inspired Thanksgiving feast with crispy sliced turkey breast, cornbread stuffing, butternut squash with toasted marshmallow, and more. The cost is $49.95 per adult, $24.95 for kids five to 12, and free for those younger than five. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling the restaurant.
Tavern on Rush: Expect an elevated take on Thanksgiving traditions courtesy of Tavern on Rush, which is rolling out a three-course spread starting at 11:00 a.m. on November 24. The meal starts with roasted acorn squash soup, followed by carved turkey with chestnut stuffing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, housemade gravy and autumn vegetables. Finish with your choice of pumpkin pie, warm caramel cobbler or organic carrot cake. For parties of four or more, the restaurant will offer family-style service, and the regular lunch and dinner menus will also be available.
RPM Steak: Four courses of upscale holiday dishes are on deck at RPM Steak on Thanksgiving day. From 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., guests can indulge in roasted or fried Slagel Family Farms turkey, along with other menu standouts like coal-roasted king crab, dried fruit stuffing, green bean casserole, miso-roasted lobster and vanilla sugar doughnuts. Dinner is $85 per person and reservations can be made by calling RPM Steak.
Michael Jordan’s Steak House: On November 24, head to this Magnificent Mile steakhouse for a traditional dinner of turkey with iconic sides like sweet potato puree, cranberry chutney and cornbread-black trumpet mushroom stuffing. For those feeling particularly lavish, guests can opt for other specialties like prime Delmonico, colossal crab cake, or pork chops. Reservations can be made by calling the restaurant.
Shaw's Crab House: Keeping things casual with an all-day buffet, Shaw’s Crab House is the perfect solution for families or those just looking for wholesome, high-quality cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant’s spread features all the essentials, like herb-roasted turkey, roasted beef tenderloin, cranberry sauce, stuffing, oysters on the half shell, and desserts galore. The cost is $75 per adult and $20 for kids 12 and younger. Reservations are recommended.
Devon Seafood Grill: Another optimal downtown option, Devon Seafood Grill has a prix fixe feast of its own to check out this year. Start with your choice of baby greens salad, Caesar salad, Maine lobster bisque, or butternut squash soup, before moving to a main course array of turkey, mashed potatoes, cornbread and sausage stuffing, gravy, glazed yams, green beans, and cranberry orange relish. Finally, dessert options are pumpkin pie, apple croustade, creme brulee, and mixed berries. The meal is $40 per adult and $20 per child four to 12. The regular menu will also be available.
