Stay Inside and Peruse New Delivery Options
It's getting cold outside. The thought of venturing out for food is daunting and unnerving. Fortunately this is Chicago and we've got more delivery options than some states have residents. To help narrow down the overwhelming miscellany, here's a few spots serving up new delivery options this season.
Smoke Daddy: Barbecue is innately as comforting as a warm down blanket, but it's even cozier and more nourishing when it's delivered right to your door. Now through December 22, The Smoke Daddy is taking orders for its holiday catering menu, featuring items like smoked turkey, pulled turkey, and glazed ham, plus copious sides and desserts. It's designed for holiday parties, but it's also perfect for when you just want to sit on the couch by yourself watching Home Alone.
La Sirena Clandestina: Latin-spiced cuisine is a nice antidote to the impending winter chill. Embrace the zest of life and remind yourself everything will be OK by ordering lunch from La Sirena Clandestina. The West Loop stronghold of South American fare recently introduced a new lunch menu with delivery available through Caviar. Dishes include a three-cheese panini and tomato soup combo called fugazzetta, a Bahian seafood cake with malagueta tartar sauce, a black bean soup with housemade saltines, empanadas, and kale salad with roasted poblano dressing. Lunch orders can be placed here.
OWEN + ALCHEMY: Fueling up on hearty South American food or barbecue is all well and good, but deep down you probably should stop assaulting your arteries all the time. Take pause by ordering from OWEN + ALCHEMY, Logan Square's hippest new juice bar and vegetarian enclave. The shop features an alluring hodgepodge of beautifully bottled juices, featuring thoughtful seasonal combos of juices like sweet potato, fermented pear, carrot, and lots more. The shop is offering free delivery for orders of six bottles or more to locations within a five-mile radius between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Orders of six bottles or less are advised to order through the Postmates app until OWEN + ALCHEMY completes their own delivery app, which they are working on currently. Orders of six bottles of more outside of the five-mile radius incur a $15 delivery fee.
