Movember Restaurant Specials

November is men's health awareness month, and judging by the surplus of mustaches on men's faces, it's also Movember. The mustaches serve as a symbol for men's health awareness and the mission of the initiative. Out of solidarity, a few restaurants in Chicago are rolling out Movember specials this month.

Rockit Ranch Productions is one big bromance when it comes to Movember support, with each of the five venues competing as teams to raise money for the cause. Additionally, each spot is offering a specialty Movember cocktail, with a portion of proceeds benefiting their designated team. You can bet that each specialty cocktail will sport a Movember milk mustache in the form of a frothy top. Rockit Bar & Grill is featuring a Whisker River, made with Evan Williams, Goose Island ginger, lemon, and egg white; Sunda's Samurai Stachae-tini boasts Caribbean rum, pineapple-infused rum, apple juice, lime juice, pistachio-cardamom syrup, cinnamon, and allspice; Rockit Burger Bar's cocktail is The McBro, featuring Jameson, Strongbow cider, lemon juice, and a cinnamon sugar rim; Underground is serving up Mo-tini Mo-problems, a medley of gin, Domaine de Canton, housemade pumpkin syrup, BG Reynolds Don's mix, pumpkin pie mix, whipped cream, and cinnamon. Then there's Ay Chiwowa!'s El Senor cocktail, laced with Fireball, rumchatta, and a cinnamon sugar rim.

Bernard's cocktail
(Cocktail at Bernard's)

Keep drinking for the sake of a good cause at Bernard's at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago. The chic bar is shaking up Whiskey & Whiskers cocktails all month long for Movember, donating 20% of proceeds to the Movember Foundation. The drink features orange peel, lime peel, lemon peel, simple syrup, whiskey, and egg white, topped with the requisite mustache shape made with ginger-cinnamon powder.

Now that you've gotten drunk on men's health, satiate your sweet tooth at Epic with their special Movember-inspired tiramisu. Each month, pastry chef Jessica Ellington creates a special dessert for a different charitable cause. Aww. And this month's offering is a tiramisu cake topped with a chocolate-dipped mustache cookie. The rest of the cake consists of mascarpone cream, coffee cream, ladyfinger cake, coffee, and cacao nib crisps. At month's end, a portion of the final tally will be donated to the Movember Foundation.
