Drown Your Work Week Woes in Wine Wednesdays
Wine makes everything better, including Wednesdays. And droll work weeks. Restaurants know this and want to help you. Helping us all get over the mid-week hump, Province and Nana are two restaurants offering their own Wednesday wine bargains.
Wine Wednesday at Province is a bit of a lavish affair, complete with five courses of seasonal food and wine pairings. The menu changes weekly, but a recent example includes shrimp and corn salad paired with South African Sauvignon Blanc, barbecued duck paired with Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, spice-seared organic salmon with Sardinian Grenache, grilled skirt steak with Californian Zinfandel, and peach compote and poached pear crisp with French apple cider. All this for just $49! Wednesdays don't suck anymore. Reservations are accepted, but walk-ins are welcome.
Wine just tastes better when it's half price. That's reason enough to get to Nana for dinner on Wednesdays, and it's just icing on the cake that the wines and food happen to be amazing. Between 5:00 and 9:30 p.m. every Wednesday, guests can enjoy a bottle of wine for half the price. It's the perfect accompaniment to Nana's new fall menu, featuring grilled New York steak with huitlacoche sauce, chipotle- and honey-glazed pork chop, and fideo with chorizo, spinach, goat cheese, and roasted red bell pepper sauce, to name just a few.
