Brunch Bites: Lettuce Entertain You Serves Up Brunch on Martin Luther King Jr. Day

In this week's batch of brunch bites, Lettuce Entertain You restaurants honor Martin Luther King Jr. day by extending brunch service to the Monday holiday.

Quinoa cakes can be yours at Beatrix

Typically, lemon pancakes and quinoa cakes with poached eggs are more of a weekend ritual at Beatrix, but thanks to Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 19, you can start the week off on a nourishing note. Available from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Beatrix brunch features all the weekend favorites along with fresh juices, coffee, and butter-infused "Bulletproof" coffee. Call to make a reservation.

Bloody Marys and barbecue abound at Bub City, where the January holiday is celebrated in true raucous style. Expect brunch fare like beef brisket Benedict and fried chicken and waffles, along with Bub City's Bloody Mary Bar and music performances by Scott DuBose.

If an all-you-can-eat brunch melee sounds like the right way to celebrate a Monday, then head to R.J. Grunt's on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The venerable Lincoln Park standby extends its weekend menus to Monday with timeless classics like pecan bread pudding French toast, Grunts bacon, eggs, bagels, and more. The famed salad bar will also be open for business.

Along with the regular lunch menu, Summer House Santa Monica will also be extending its weekend brunch service to Monday for the holiday. Indulge in a little sunrise burrito filled with scrambled eggs, spinach, cheddar, lettuce, and pico de gallo; or spring for some egg white omelette with shaved turkey and tomato-avocado salsa. The caramelized French toast is also a good thing to put in your mouth if your brunch preferences skew sweet. Reservations are available.
