Hot on the heels of Bin 36's relocation to the West Loop, the wine-centric destination has expanded its menu offerings to include brunch. Debuting June 27, brunch at Bin 36 is an inspired affair courtesy of chef Shane Graybeal, whose tenure cooking in the South beget dishes like shrimp and Antebellum grits, a thorough homage to South Carolina cookery. There's also a riff on the Kentucky hot brown, a toasty open-faced sandwich heaped with turkey, bacon, tomato, and Mornay sauce. Lobster New-Bin is Graybeal's take on classic lobster Newburg, featuring tarragon biscuit, candied Vidalia onions, tomato bisque, and home fries. Other dishes include a spicy chorizo burger and lemon-ricotta pancakes. To drink, there's a Bloody Mary flight complete with four variations of the brunch staple: the bourbon- and hot sauce-splashed Kentucky Smoke Out; the gin-infused Great British Breakfast adorned with sausage, bacon, tomato, and baked beans; the Ipa-Lada with tequila, lime, cayenne, and IPA. and a classic Bloody Mary. For something sweeter, there's also a mimosa flight featuring flavors of peach, pineapple, and watermelon.

In other brunch news, Pork Shoppe has joined the brunch fray on the city's north side. The comfy, casual barbecue restaurant is now serving weekend fare like breakfast burritos, Tex Mex-style migas eggs, boneless beef short ribs and hash, and something called the 3 Pigs Sandwich, laden with housemade bacon, ham, and pulled pork. For something less assertively savory, there's the cinnamon puffs, a snack of puff pastry, butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Sangria, Gin Fizz, and Daiquiris are available to drink.
