I was gifted the Master Baking class for Christmas and took the class in January. My background is all home baking, not professional by any stretch of the imagination, but it is something I enjoy as a hobby and want to do well, but my cake bakes have never been consistent. This class was perfect. Chef Kor is a genius who has an answer to just about everything: What do you do to fix over or under worked components? What can you substitute for different ingredients? She gave tips and ideas about everything from ovens to ingredients to technique and flavors. There was so much I didn't understand about baking different types of cakes specifically, and this class helped me understand where I had gone wrong in the past and how to improve and enjoy the experience in the future. I loved the lab-like feel of the classroom and how well everything was organized. There were people who had never baked a cake from scratch and people who were semi-pro in the class, and it was a great combination for questions and stories, and everyone brought home some lovely cakes.
Other things that I would have found relevant: I appreciated the covid precautions in place. There was plenty of parking. There are lunch and coffee places nearby if you didn't bring a lunch with you. The Wilton store is in the same building and they have everything you use in the classes.
