Haute & The Dog, formerly Bagel on Damen features encased meat deals of all sorts. Choices include a Chicago-style hot dog, German (with sauerkraut), chili dog and BBQ pork with red onions. All pickles are cut to order, which really makes a difference.
As of November 2013, Haute and the Dog only offers catering services.

Awesome place I stopped in for lunch today. The counter person was very nice. Accommodating & hooked me up with free mac n cheese. It was great. I had "big bad wolf". It was a Guinness infused bacon wrapped brat smothered in pulled pork & chipotle sauce. Best brat I've ever had!!! Can't wait to go back!

Good hot dog...had the green chile macaroni. The service is a little slow, awkward, and weird. Food was definitely tasty.

Yum. Give it up for creative hot dog topping options without being snobby about it. The Haute and the Dog is a casual atmosphere that has a fairly simple menu. Concentrate on doing one thing and doing it right; Haute & Dog, done! I've been here twice and have enjoyed the Elotes Dog (oh yes) and the Big Bad Wolf. Neither sent me home stuffed to the brim but a dog with a side of fries would be a normal person's correctly sized meal. I'd have liked to be a bit more full on the way out but portion control is a good thing. The dogs stand out as individuals and I really enjoy the fries here. Everything is done fresh to order and the hot dogs themselves are quality. This adds a bit to the wait time but I understand it's a small place. The shop is off the busier areas of Wicker but I guess that adds to its charm. It's just a short walk from the El so no biggie. jDub recommended.

I think that the type of dogs they have here are great, and honestly that is the only reason that I would give it a 3. I would only give them a 2 based on the customer service. To get 2 hotdogs it takes about 20 minutes, and the cashiers are ALWAYS cranky. Today I went and literally watched her swear to herself for 5 minutes while we are waiting for the food to come. Its 50/50 for me
