Thank the lord it closed.
Wednesday night features Timba and Raggaeton music and dancing - so is a good place to come to dance Cuban Casino style (salsa). The floor is old and very sticky. The unisex bathroom is far from the cleanest I've been in - but also not the nastiest. I was able to find street parking right in front. The cover charge is $5. Dancing doesn't start until quite late - so I didn't have a chance to try the food, but I hear it's quite good.
Really great bar, and amazing for dancing, but they charged $10 cover, which was a bit much, especially for it being 1 hour until closing time. They should re-think this. But also has great drinks, and I hear is very good for dinner!
Pretty legit spot to watch games as a local bar. I live around the corner and probably best goto spot. HOWEVER. If you're white and wear a suit into here, even if the Macy's one day $100 special suit, know you'll get looks.
I enjoyed myself... Nice crowd mixed age groups.. music was decent and drink prices were not too expensive.
