Santullo's Eatery - Chicago
The former late-night pizza hang is now situated in the Chicago French Market. Santullo's, which used to be in Bucktown/Wicker Park, is best known for its New York-style pizza sold by the slice.
What sets New York-style pizza apart from Chicago's is that it is usually large and hand tossed, giving it a very thin, airy crust. It traditionally has a tomato sauce base with mozzarella cheese.
Santullo's signature pies are topped with sweet San Marzano tomatoes with an extra crispy crust. Not feeling pizza. Try their version of Italian beef that's made with secret seasonings.
For those who stay to eat, there's ample seating that feels like a Parisian al fresco experience yearround.
