We've enjoyed a number of productions at Goodman. Each one has been inspiring and memorable!
The Albert Theater, which seats about 850, is a more traditional theater style in terms of staging, curtains, and seating. Great acoustics, even in the balcony. We especially LOVED the "Brigadoon" production we saw several years ago.
The Owen Theater, which seats about 350, is a more contemporary and flexible venue. Intimate space with a close-up feel to the performance. Open seating in stiff chairs. Good acoustics on all sides. We especially LOVED the performances of "The Magic Play" and "The King of the Yees."
We have driven in from the suburbs every time because we had an elderly person in our group. Found parking easily just around the corner in parking garage. When it's just the two of us, we will make the pleasant 25-minute walk from the Metra Station.
We look forward to returning to both venues soon!
