These family-friendly, counter-service spots are known for low-priced, well-made Middle Eastern fare, such as shawarma, falafel, kebabs and house-baked pita bread. The weekday business lunch special is a real bargain. The Skokie location, the original, established in 1982, is open till midnight on weekends and has a market selling Middle Eastern groceries next door. Other locations are in Wheeling and Glenview.
